• About the Givaudan Perfumery School

• The Givaudan Perfumery School is dedicated to developing the next generation of perfumers by nurturing individuality, creativity and technical excellence. Our mission is to help gifted individuals reveal their unique olfactive identity while mastering the art and science of perfumery.

• Each year, only a select number of candidates are chosen to join this renowned four-year program. Through intensive learning, mentorship and hands-on experience, trainees build the foundations needed to become future perfumers at Givaudan.

• This is more than a training program — it is an immersive journey into the craft, heritage and future of fragrance creation.

• What You Will Experience

• Reporting to our Head of Perfumery School, you will embark on a challenging and rewarding four-year paid training program based primarily in Argenteuil, France.

During the program, you will:

• Develop a deep understanding of fragrance genealogy and perfumery techniques

• Build an olfactive memory across hundreds of raw materials and accords

• Learn to combine creative expression with technical knowledge

• Explore fragrance creation across fine fragrance and consumer products

• Work alongside experienced perfumers and industry experts

• Create fragrances that respond to consumer insights and customer expectations

• This apprenticeship requires resilience and a genuine passion for fragrance. In return, you will gain the skills and experience needed to begin your career as a perfumer at one of the world's leading fragrance companies.

• Your Future at Givaudan

• Upon successful completion of the program, you will graduate as a Junior Perfumer and join one of Givaudan's Creative Centres, based on business needs and opportunities.

• For this specific role, we are looking for a Junior Perfumer to join our Consumer Products team in East Hanover - New Jersey.

• Who You Are

• You are passionate about perfumery and willing to pursue a demanding creative and technical journey.

You must have:

• A strong interest in perfumery and a demonstrated curiosity for fragrance

• Excellent olfactive abilities and sensory sensitivity

• A Bachelor's degree minimum

• Curiosity and openness

• Creativity demonstrated in any discipline or field

• Resilience and perseverance for a long-term apprenticeship

• Flexibility and willingness to relocate according to company needs

• Fluency in English

• Values aligned with Givaudan's culture and collaborative spirit

• Self-awareness and metacognitive abilities
