About this role
Performance Marketing & Paid Advertising Specialist
About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced, results-driven Performance Marketing Specialist to join our team full-time.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, launching, managing, and optimising paid advertising campaigns across Meta (Facebook & Instagram), Google Ads, TikTok Ads, and other relevant digital advertising platforms.
Although this position is based in Nigeria, our products and services primarily target customers in the United Kingdom.
You will manage advertising campaigns for multiple products and brands owned by the same company, with a strong focus on customer acquisition, lead generation, website conversions, and sales.
We are not looking for someone who is learning how to run ads. We need an experienced professional who has managed real advertising budgets, understands how advertising platforms work, and can demonstrate measurable results from previous campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
-
Develop, execute, and manage paid advertising strategies across Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok Ads, and other relevant platforms.
-
Independently manage advertising campaigns for multiple products and brands within the company.
-
Create and optimise campaigns targeting UK consumers and businesses.
-
Develop effective audience targeting, prospecting, retargeting, and customer acquisition strategies.
-
Conduct A/B testing of advertising creatives, audiences, landing pages, campaign structures, and messaging.
-
Monitor and optimise advertising budgets to improve conversion rates, cost per acquisition (CPA), return on advertising spend (ROAS), and overall campaign profitability.
-
Set up, manage, and troubleshoot conversion tracking, Meta Pixel, Conversions API, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager, and related tools.
-
Analyse advertising performance, identify underperforming campaigns, and implement practical improvements.
-
Work across different products, industries, and customer segments while maintaining clear campaign objectives.
-
Provide regular performance reports covering advertising expenditure, leads, purchases, conversions, and campaign profitability.
-
Stay continuously informed about advertising platform algorithm changes, AI-powered campaign optimisation, new advertising features, targeting updates, attribution changes, and evolving industry best practices.
-
Mandatory Requirements
Applicants MUST meet the following criteria:
-
Proven Experience: Minimum of 3 years of practical, hands-on experience managing paid advertising campaigns, with a demonstrable track record of results.
-
Advertising Platform Expertise: Strong working knowledge of Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, and TikTok Ads Manager, including campaign setup, optimisation, conversion tracking, and performance analysis.
-
UK/International Market Experience: Previous experience managing campaigns targeting UK audiences is strongly preferred. Candidates with proven results in comparable international markets will also be considered.
-
Results-Driven Approach: Demonstrated ability to generate actual purchases, qualified leads, and customer acquisitions—not simply impressions, clicks, or social media engagement.
-
Technical Competence: Strong understanding of Meta Pixel, Conversions API, GA4, Google Tag Manager, attribution, conversion events, and advertising analytics.
-
Current Industry Knowledge: Must be familiar with recent and ongoing changes across advertising platforms, including Meta's AI-driven advertising systems, Google's Performance Max and automated bidding, and TikTok's evolving advertising tools.
-
Independent Campaign Management: Must be capable of managing multiple advertising accounts, products, budgets, and campaign objectives without constant supervision.
-
Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret campaign data, diagnose poor performance, identify conversion barriers, and implement effective solutions.
-
Commercial Awareness: Understanding of advertising profitability, customer acquisition costs, marketing funnels, and the relationship between advertising spend and business revenue.
-
Proof of Previous Advertising Results Is Compulsory
-
We will not shortlist candidates based on CV claims or advertising certificates alone.
-
Applicants must be prepared to demonstrate their previous advertising experience by providing verifiable evidence of campaigns they have personally managed.
Evidence may include:
-
Screenshots or reports from previous advertising accounts.
-
Advertising campaign case studies.
-
Examples of advertising budgets managed.
-
Actual purchases, leads, and conversions generated.
-
Cost per acquisition (CPA), return on advertising spend (ROAS), and other relevant performance metrics.
-
Examples of campaigns that initially performed poorly and how they were successfully improved.
-
Shortlisted candidates may be required to participate in a live practical assessment, including reviewing an advertising campaign, identifying performance issues, and explaining how they would improve its results.
-
All evidence must be shared with appropriate authorisation, without exposing confidential client information.
-

Keeps up with advertising platform changes without waiting to be instructed.
