About the Role
This Per Diem Jail Nurse RN role is with the Clallam County Sheriff's Office, delivering essential medical care within the jail facility. You will work under the Jail Nurse Manager to develop, initiate and coordinate patient care plans, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure care is effective, compliant and patient-centered.
What You'll Do
- Provide essential medical care to inmates in the jail facility under the supervision of the Jail Nurse Manager.
- Develop, initiate, and coordinate patient care plans through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Ensure compliance with agency, local, state, and federal laws and regulations and maintain accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with professionals across disciplines to support a safe, compliant healthcare environment.
What We're Looking For
- Current Registered Nurse license (Washington)
- Ability to work per diem with flexible scheduling; onsite jail setting experience preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to collaborate across disciplines
- Understanding of applicable laws and regulations governing correctional healthcare
Nice to Have
- Experience in correctional healthcare or jail health is a plus
