About the Role Per Diem Hospice Physician (MA Licensed) is responsible for the overall medical component of patient care for VNA Care's hospice patients. This role involves on-call coverage on weekdays nights and weekends, with scheduling details outlined by the program. The position is based in Massachusetts and supports our home health and hospice services. What You'll Do
- Provide medical leadership and clinical oversight for hospice patients, including symptom management and treatment plans.
- Deliver on-call coverage during weekdays, weeknights, and weekends as assigned.
- Collaborate with the hospice interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care in home and facility settings.
- Document medical assessments and ensure adherence to regulatory and quality standards. What We're Looking For
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) licensed to practice in Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 3 years of medical practice experience.
- Experience in hospice and/or palliative care.
- Willingness to provide on-call coverage and flexible schedule as needed. Compensation & Benefits
- Weekday on-call: $125 per hour for weeknights.
- Weeknight compensation (Mon–Thu): $1,000.
- Weekend compensation (Fri PM through Mon AM): $1,200.
