What you will do

Contribute to the business success by bringing in people perspective when working with the Leaders and their teams. I use your P&C expertise and experience to drive people and organization related initiatives to enhance employee and Leader experience.

Build trusting and open relationship with Leaders to support the business in responding in the best way to people and organizational challenges and opportunities. Bring P&C expertise and competence to provide on-going coaching and guidance on P&C matters. Create prerequisites for Leaders to grow their teams to drive business performance and positive employee experience to strengthen people engagement. Work together with Leaders to proactively drive P&C agenda and day-to-day activities. Manage P&C capabilities such as Health, Safety and Wellbeing, Labor Law, Employee Relations and act as coach for total rewards. Guide and support in leveraging digital solutions and encourage self-service usage for employees and leaders to get to the right support channels.

Work together as One P&C Community with People Services, VGU and the COEs to leverage the right support and bring expertise. Actively contribute to P&C growth by collaborating on joint-initiatives (e.g., as part of agile squads) and encouraging "One Team” spirit.

Your key responsibilities

Strategic Partnering:

• Develop a deep understanding of the business strategy to anticipate the evolving organizational needs and human impact to shape a positive employee experience.
• Work with Leaders to drive People Strategy by translating it into tailored action plans for respective business.
• Partner with the business to solve strategic dilemmas.

Organization and Workforce Architecting:

• Use data analytics to facilitate workforce planning and forecasting of skills to guide business decisions in short-, mid- and long-term.
• Proactively identify and develop the next generation of leaders.
• Drive competence shift through growth mindset and lifelong learning.
• Create prerequisites for leaders to develop high-performing teams and individuals.
• Contribute to efficient org design and development.
• Enhance organizational agility and embed new ways of working.

Facilitating Change and Coaching:

• Drive change initiatives based on business objectives and advocate the importance of people side of change.
• Shape with Leaders the desired behaviors based on Volvo values and Leadership Principles.
• Secure that local business needs are considered when developing corporate/global P&C strategies, initiatives and activities.

Data-Driven Problem Solving:

• Leverage workforce-related insights and opportunities to proactively guide business decisions.
• Understand what is behind the data and propose organizational development initiatives to achieve desired business outcome.

P&C Capability Driving:

• Analyse external trends and their impact on Volvo workforce to shape business recommendations.
• Enhance the employee experience to ensure that Volvo is an attractive and competitive place to work.
• Understand P&C capabilities, services and solutions holistically and know who to reach out to and bring in when specific expertise is required.
• Secure and drive P&C activities connected to daily business e.g., Labor Law, Wellbeing, Health & Safety, Com & Ben, Sustainability.
