Job title: Penetrant Line Operator
About the Role The Penetrant Line Operator provides support for the fluorescent penetrant inspection process by preparing castings and applying penetrants. The role ensures castings are clean, properly etched as needed, and ready for evaluation by the fluorescent penetrant system. It is an on-site, full-time position on the penetrant line.
What You'll Do
- Visually inspect castings for surface dirt and cleanliness.
- Clean and degrease castings as necessary.
- Chemically etch castings by local or swab etching as required.
- Apply fluorescent penetrant to prepared castings.
- Prepare castings for evaluation by the fluorescent penetrant inspection system.
- Maintain line cleanliness and adhere to safety and process guidelines.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to follow procedures and work on an on-site manufacturing line.
- Attention to detail in visual inspection and cleanliness.
- Willingness to perform chemical etching and penetrant preparation per procedures.
- Good manual dexterity and teamwork; ability to work with the penetrant system.
