PEGA Solutions Associate

About the Role ScotiaTech in Bogotá is seeking a PEGA Solutions Associate to lead the technical analysis, design, development, implementation, architecture, and support of Pega-based solutions for internal banking processes. The role provides technical leadership and consultation, guiding current and future projects, and adapting to changing environments to meet strategic goals. You will contribute to a high-performing, inclusive culture and collaborate with product owners and technology teams to deliver customer-focused results.

What You'll Do

• Develop and deliver high-quality deliverables across all project phases, from requirements and design to post-implementation and production support.
• Assist with planning and executing unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Ensure timely delivery of solutions within structured timeframes.
• Identify and recommend enhancements to the core base product.
• Provide technical expertise and ownership of technical solutions.
• Recommend standards for systems architecture, application development, systems integration, data modelling, and testing.
• Collaborate with product owners, technology teams, and colleagues, with a continual focus on customer success.
• Participate in reviews and walkthroughs of project deliverables to ensure quality, high availability, integrity, and reliability.
• Stay current on rapidly changing technological trends, self-teach new technologies, and understand the Division’s business and technology strategies.
• Provide input and ideas to product owners and team members to solve complex business requirements.
• Participate in all aspects of application development for assigned applications or technology.
• Provide production and user acceptance testing support for complex technical problems, analysing issues, implementing solutions, and developing new support procedures.
• Understand and consider the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture in day-to-day activities and decisions.
• Pursue effective and efficient operations in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles, ensuring adherence to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk controls.

What We're Looking For

• A degree in computer science, math, or an engineering-related discipline is desirable, along with at least 3 years of professional experience.
• Experience with Pega-based solutions and leading implementation projects; ability to provide technical consultation and guidance.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with product owners and technology teams, with a focus on customer success.
• Knowledge of systems architecture, data modeling, testing (unit, integration, UAT), and production support.
• Willingness to self-teach new technologies and stay current with industry trends; ability to adapt to changing environments.
• Understanding of the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture; commitment to Scotiabank’s values, code of conduct, and compliance.
