Job title: Pediatric Hospitalist
About the Role Bay Area Hospital seeks a Pediatric Hospitalist to provide inpatient pediatric coverage in a full-time, varied-shift role. This position supports the hospital’s mission by upholding Bay Area Hospital's behavioral standards and requires effective communication with colleagues, patients, and administration.
What You'll Do
- Provide inpatient pediatric hospitalist services consistent with hospital policies and standards.
- Maintain CME activity and comply with board certification and continuing privileges without restriction.
- Keep medical licenses and relevant certifications current and unrestricted.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, patients and administration; collaborate with care teams.
- Maintain high-quality clinical practice and pursue ongoing professional development.
- Adhere to standard precautions and appropriate body mechanics; assist with patient transfers and ambulation as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Meets criteria for Medical Staff or Allied Health Professional membership and privileges; current board certification and eligibility as required.
- Maintains CME activity and compliance with organizational requirements; licenses and certifications current and unrestricted.
- Effective communicator; able to work with diverse backgrounds and teams.
- Ability to work in a hospital setting with the physical/mental requirements described (standing/walking, bending, lifting, vision/hearing, etc.).
- Willingness to work varied shifts in a hospital environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation: Salary with a range dependent on experience (minimum/max depending on experience); time type: salaried; compensation grade L.
- Hours per pay period: 80; Shift: Varied; Full-time position.
