The Cook Children's Heart Center is seeking a Pediatric Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist to join our growing cardiovascular program in Fort Worth, Texas. Qualifications
-
Completion of an accredited Pediatric Cardiology fellowship
-
Additional training in pediatric heart failure, transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support
-
Board eligible or board certified in Pediatric Cardiology
-
Eligible for medical licensure in Texas
-
Position Highlights The selected physician will join an experienced and supportive team while caring for children with a broad spectrum of advanced cardiovascular conditions, including:

Advanced heart failure
-
Cardiomyopathies
-
Mechanical circulatory support
-
Pre- and post-heart transplantation
Responsibilities include:
-
Management of inpatient and outpatient pediatric heart failure and transplant patients
-
Participation in transplant evaluations and selection committee activities
-
Collaboration with cardiothoracic surgery, critical care, advanced practice providers, pharmacy, nutrition, social work, and transplant coordination teams
-
Shared call coverage within the heart failure and transplant program
-
Participation in quality improvement and program development initiatives
-
Teaching opportunities with medical students, residents, and allied health professionals
-
Involvement in clinical, translational, and outcomes research based on individual interests

450-500 congenital cardiac surgeries annually

600-650 interventional, diagnostic, and electrophysiology procedures per year
