About the Role Shriners Children’s Ohio, in partnership with Dayton Children’s Hospital, is seeking 3 fellowship-trained Pediatric Anesthesiologists to join our perioperative team in full- or part-time roles. The position is based at Shriners Children’s Ohio on the Dayton Children’s Hospital campus, with a clinical practice split of approximately 20–40% time spent at Dayton Children’s.
What You'll Do
- Deliver anesthesia for a diverse pediatric surgical caseload within an all-MD model without CRNA supervision, typically running one operating room daily.
- Spend approximately 90% of clinical time in the operating room, with occasional responsibilities including preoperative assessments and PACU care.
- Utilize advanced techniques such as regional anesthesia, ultrasound-guided nerve blocks, and advanced airway management; provide anesthesia support for laser scar revision procedures.
- Work a rotating schedule of one-in-four home call; surgical schedules vary from one to five days per week.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including pediatric burn surgeons, plastic surgeons, physician assistants, perioperative nurses, physical and occupational therapists, and recreational therapy staff.
What We're Looking For
- Fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesiology required.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Anesthesiology.
- Eligible for Ohio medical licensure.
- MD or DO.
