Job title: PD Designer (Physical Design)
About the Role Experienced PD designer to work on multiple technology nodes at Skyworks. Exposure to 40/22nm analog, RF, and mixed/signal circuits is a plus. You will perform physical design from scratch, modify existing layouts, create block-level floorplans, and participate in peer and engineering reviews.
What You'll Do
- Perform synthesis, physical design, STA, DRC/LVS verification, and power analysis for assigned blocks.
- Provide accurate area, power, and schedule estimates with a focus on optimizing PPA.
- Collaborate closely with design and layout engineers.
- Engage in front-end activities where applicable (digital modeling, gate-level simulations, CDC, LEC, and STA/synthesis).
- Plan floor planning and block placement, and optimize placement and routing to meet higher-level constraints.
- Verify layouts and implement ECOs as needed.
What We're Looking For
- ~7-10 years of experience in physical design and PD flows.
- Strong experience in PnR and Synthesis; familiarity with digital modeling, gate-level simulations, CDC, LEC, and STA/synthesis if possible.
- Expertise in floor planning, placement and routing, timing closure, and power integrity.
- Experience with layout verification (DRC/LVS) and ECOs.
- Ability to estimate area, power, and schedule for blocks and optimize PPA.
- Ability to collaborate with design and layout teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with 40/22nm analog, RF, and mixed-signal circuits is an added advantage.
