About the Role PCG Account Manager role at Lubrizol, responsible for managing customers, accounts and distributors in Northern and Eastern China, developing profitable new business opportunities, and ensuring project commercialization aligns with PCG strategy. This position focuses on meeting AOP targets and driving growth within the Performance Coating business.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement account plans that are well aligned with business strategy for customers in marketing segments of Industrial coating, Printing ink, Specialty Paper and Textile; prepare Customer Impact Statements for responsible customers and maintain the plan with a value selling mindset.
- Grow and manage the business for assigned accounts and territories with a strong CRM-driven new opportunity pipeline; grow and manage distributors and key accounts, building exceptional customer relationships.
- Support growth initiatives and introduction of new products for the business; develop, negotiate and close sales contracts and agreements.
- Manage local agent representation as a support role in joint sales calls, also provide direction, training, competitive information and general market knowledge.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key processors and other key players in the identified market segments, and assist the marketing manager for the development of these segments.
- Timely communicate key issues with stakeholders within the Performance Coating organization.
- Handle administrative requirements, such as call reports, sales forecasting and expense reports, timely and accurately.
- Actively participate in trade shows, conferences and regional meetings.
What We're Looking For
- University degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or polymer-related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in the chemistry industry; polymer industry preferred.
- Strategic thinking, good listening and communication skills.
- Good command of English in written and oral communication.
- Proven success in implementing value selling.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Sound business analysis and financial skills.
- Flexible and adaptable to handle uncertainty inherent to dynamic business conditions.
- Willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time.
