Payroll Tax Analyst
Ferrovial has an exciting, entry-level payroll tax analyst position for a recent graduate or early career professional. A Payroll Tax Analyst manages payroll tax compliance, ensures accurate reporting, and provides expertise on federal, state, and local tax regulations.
This is an onsite, hybrid position in the Woodlands, TX.
Key Responsibilities

Tax Reporting and Payments: Review and reconcile payroll tax payments and filings, including W-2s, W-2c’s, and quarterly/annual returns.

Data Analysis: Analyze payroll tax data, perform calculations, and provide insights to management for decision-making

Process Documentation: Design, document, and review payroll tax procedures to maintain accurate and up-to-date process documentation

Problem Resolution: Research and resolve payroll tax discrepancies, notices, or compliance issues for multi-state entities

Collaboration: Work closely with payroll, HR, and accounting teams to ensure accurate employee data and tax reporting

Special Projects: Assist management with strategic initiatives, audits, and process improvements

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation

Analytical Skills: Strong numerical and analytical abilities to calculate taxes, deductions, and benefits accurately

Attention to Detail: Meticulous in reviewing payroll data and ensuring compliance with tax laws

Communication: Ability to explain complex tax matters to non-tax stakeholders and collaborate across departments

Problem-Solving: Capable of resolving discrepancies and handling audits effectively

Technical Skills: MS applications, excel, word

AI: AI Software tools –Microsoft Copilot preferred, not required
