Payroll Specialist

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to support accurate and timely payroll operations for a multi-site workforce in the Worcester, Massachusetts area. This position plays an important role in maintaining payroll records, reviewing time data, and producing reports that help the organization stay organized and compliant. The ideal candidate brings prior payroll experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive employee information with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update employee payroll information within the company’s payroll system to ensure records remain complete and accurate.

• Review and validate employee time entries through the NetSuite portal before each payroll cycle is finalized.

• Execute bi-weekly payroll processing using NetSuite and Oracle tools while meeting established deadlines.

• Prepare tailored payroll and workforce reports based on operational and business reporting needs.

• Monitor payroll-related tracking activities and compile supporting documentation for internal review and reporting purposes.

• Provide administrative support to the HR function and assist with additional payroll-related tasks as needed.

• At least 1 year of payroll experience in a business environment requiring attention to detail is required.

• Familiarity with end-to-end payroll processing for employee populations ranging from approximately 100 or more on a bi-weekly schedule is preferred.

• Experience supporting payroll across multiple states and/or multiple work locations is strongly desired.

• Working knowledge of Oracle NetSuite, including timekeeping or related payroll modules, is preferred.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is required for reporting and data review.

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to meet recurring deadlines.

• High level of discretion and integrity when handling confidential employee and payroll information.

• Detail-oriented approach and ability to work independently while supporting broader HR and payroll objectives.
