We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to support payroll operations for a manufacturing organization in Louisville, Kentucky. This Contract position is ideal for someone who can manage payroll activities accurately, maintain compliance with payroll regulations, and provide dependable support for employee pay administration. The role focuses on end-to-end payroll processing for a mid-sized workforce while ensuring deductions and special pay items are handled correctly.

Responsibilities

• Administer complete payroll processing for employees, ensuring wages, hours, and adjustments are calculated accurately and issued on schedule.

• Review timekeeping and payroll data for accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and follow up with appropriate teams to correct issues before payroll is finalized.

• Maintain payroll records and supporting documentation in accordance with company policies and applicable legal requirements.

• Process employee deductions and court-ordered withholdings, including garnishments, with careful attention to deadlines and compliance standards.

• Support payroll activities for an employee population of approximately 101 to 500 workers within a manufacturing environment.

• Respond to payroll-related questions from employees and internal stakeholders by providing clear and timely information.

• Assist with payroll audits, reporting, and reconciliations to help ensure accurate financial and employee records.

• Coordinate updates to employee payroll information such as earnings, deductions, and status changes in a timely manner.

• Experience processing payroll in a detail-focused setting with strong knowledge of standard payroll practices.

• Hands-on ability to manage full cycle payroll from data review through final payroll completion.

• Background supporting payroll for an organization with 101 to 500 employees.

• Working knowledge of payroll garnishments and other mandatory deductions.

• Strong accuracy and attention to detail when handling pay data and confidential employee information.

• Ability to prioritize deadlines and complete recurring payroll tasks in a timely manner.

• Effective communication skills for addressing payroll questions and coordinating with internal teams.
