Job title: Payroll Administrator
About the Role Join CFAO MOBILITY Division as a Payroll Administrator based in Johannesburg. Administer payroll functions for affiliated companies and support the HR team with related tasks and reporting.
What You'll Do
- Perform end-to-end payroll processing for affiliated companies and month-end consolidations
- Prepare and submit monthly salary actuals and payroll-related reports; manage payroll accounting tasks including GL allocations and payments
- Reconcile PAYE, SDL, UIF and other statutory returns; assist finance with reconciliations and month-end reporting
- Support ad hoc HR matters, equity reports, and year-end processing; assist with increases, bonus schedules and provisions
- Manage relationships with internal/external stakeholders; provide guidance on remuneration and benefits
- Prepare payroll-related reports, dummy payslips; assist with audits and statutory submissions as required
- Ensure compliance with tax legislation and employment conditions; stay updated on bargaining councils
What We're Looking For
- Tertiary qualification in payroll or related field (essential)
- 5-8 years of relevant payroll experience (essential)
- Advanced payroll tax knowledge; experience with monthly/bi-annual submissions is advantageous
- Proficiency with Sage 300 People Payroll software (ESS modules) is essential; SAP accounting knowledge is advantageous
- Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel
- In-depth knowledge of tax legislation, employment conditions, bargaining councils
- Experience with PAYE, SDL, UIF, WCA and RMA is advantageous
- Employment equity knowledge and experience
Nice to Have
- SAP accounting software knowledge (advantageous)
