About the Role Ferrovial's Webber division is seeking a Patrol Supervisor to oversee winter maintenance operations and maintain contracted assets (roads, medians, signs, guardrails, fences, bridges, tunnels, vegetation, etc.) in accordance with contract standards and safety requirements. The role involves leading field crews, ensuring efficient, safe operations, and coordinating with supervisors and external stakeholders. What You'll Do
- Perform duties of shift supervisor during the winter maintenance season.
- Assist the supervisor in organizing/planning daily/weekly work, including coordinating equipment, materials, and labor.
- Oversee work operations to ensure value for money and compliance with safety requirements, standards, policies, and procedures.
- Provide leadership and training to junior staff on safety techniques, methods and procedures.
- Inspect work performed by contract staff for compliance and report deficiencies and performance to the supervisor.
- Advise supervisor on work performance, training, planning, and traffic control at work sites.
- Maintain administrative activities per MTO and Webber procedures: records of equipment operation, maintenance hours, material usage, etc.
- Assist in the preparation and ongoing monitoring of weekly, monthly, and annual work plans.
- Provide information for analysis of contractor or public claims.
- Liaise with property owners, the public, police, municipalities, government ministries, and utility companies to promote public relations and ensure compliance.
- Occasionally operate patrol equipment and perform labor tasks as needed for efficient patrol operations.
- Perform related duties: acting for supervisor during absences, compiling highway/road inventory data, investigating and resolving public complaints, patrolling and reporting hazards, initiating contractor call-outs, and responding to emergencies.
