Patient Relations Specialist - Dermatology

About the Role This position is located at the Midvalley Health Center in Murray and may occasionally work at other clinic locations. It provides exceptional care for patients by delivering professional service and a memorable patient experience. The incumbent handles all desk operations, including patient registration and scheduling, and advises patients on financial obligations, including payment plans. The role supports efficient information flow between medical staff, hospital staff and other departments. What You'll Do

• Greet and direct patients to their destinations in person and by phone.
• Schedule patient appointments and contact patients for rescheduling, missed appointments, and reminders.
• Complete patient admission and registration, reviewing accounts and compliance documents for accuracy; obtain missing information as needed.
• Verify patient benefits and eligibility; collect co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance as needed.
• Respond to questions about accounts and payment arrangements; resolve billing or charge disputes or escalate as needed.
• Reconcile cash against daily charges and cash reports.
• Monitor patient flow, adjust workflows, and inform clinical staff of changes.
• Act as liaison between patients, guests, back office staff and providers.
• Assist patients with automated medical record access.
• Manage inventory and maintenance; perform other duties as required. What We're Looking For

• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to protect patient information.
• Ability to navigate a facility with multiple providers and services.
• Minimum Qualifications: One year of office experience or customer service experience, or equivalent (one year of education can substitute for two years of related work experience).
• Current Utah driver's license may be required in some areas. This position is patient-sensitive and requires immunizations per CDC standards and hospital policy. Nice to Have
