About the Role This position is located at the Midvalley Health Center in Murray and may occasionally work at other clinic locations. The role provides patient-focused service, handles desk operations including patient registration and scheduling, and advises patients on financial obligations and payment plans. It also helps maximize efficiency by ensuring accurate information flow among medical and hospital staff and other departments. What You'll Do

  • Greets and directs patients to their correct destinations both in person and over the phone.
  • Anticipates patient needs and responds in an accurate and timely manner.
  • May assist patients and families with a check-in kiosk when needed.
  • Schedules patient appointments; contacts patients for rescheduling, missed appointments, and reminders.
  • Completes patient admission and registration by reviewing accounts and related documents for completeness and accuracy; obtains missing information.
  • Verifies patient benefits and eligibility when needed; collects co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance as required.
  • Responds to questions about accounts, payment arrangements, and concerns; resolves billing or forwards to the appropriate person.
  • Reconciles cash against daily charge and cash reports.
  • Monitors patient flow, adjusts workflows, and notifies clinical staff of pertinent changes.
  • Acts as liaison between patients, guests, back office staff and providers.
  • Assists patients with automated medical record access as needed.
  • Manages inventory and maintenance; performs other duties as required. What We're Looking For
  • Minimum one year of office experience or customer service experience (equivalency); one year of education can substitute for two years of related work experience.
  • Current, valid Utah driver’s license may be required in some areas.
  • Immunization per CDC standards or hospital policy; limited exemptions may apply.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform essential functions; professional demeanor under stress.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Active listening, empathy and ability to develop relationships with patients, guests, and coworkers.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate information tactfully.
  • Ability to assess patient status data and follow department policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency with computers; willingness to learn new applications and software; data entry and accuracy.
  • HIPAA knowledge to protect patient information.
  • Ability to navigate a facility with multiple providers and services. Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary range: $18.65 - $23.54 per hour.
  • This is a full-time benefited staff position.
