About the Role The Patient Care Technician in the Cardiac Neuro ICU (CNICU) supports RN-directed patient care, providing essential tasks to ensure patient comfort, safety, and well-being during night shifts in a high-acuity unit. This role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to unit protocols.
What You'll Do
- Perform patient care tasks and procedures under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) and per established procedures to care for CNICU patients, focusing on safety and comfort.
- Assist with monitoring, basic nursing tasks, and responding to patient needs during the night shift (6:30pm-7:00am) and rotating weekends/holidays.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Nursing assistant training program completed or equivalent; N/A.
- Certification: Current CPR Certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
- Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation; completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when required by department.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork, ability to prioritize, and ability to receive and follow directions.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $18.84 - $27.32 per hour (USD).
