Make an Impact as a Patient and Site Engagement Manager at Worldwide

As a Patient and Site Engagement Manager, you'll help shape how patient perspectives are integrated into clinical trial planning and delivery. Your expertise will ensure patient and site insights are embedded early in study design, helping identify participation barriers and creating strategies that improve the clinical trial experience.

In this highly collaborative role, you'll partner with internal teams, customers, patient advocacy organizations, and external service providers to develop patient-focused solutions that support recruitment, retention, diversity, and study success. Your work will directly influence trial feasibility, operational planning, and overall study performance.

You'll serve as a trusted subject matter expert, translating patient and site insights into actionable strategies that enhance engagement, reduce risk, and contribute to the successful delivery of clinical research programs.

Where You'll Work

This is a REMOTE role open to candidates based in US, UK. You will collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones.

What You'll Do

  • Lead patient-focused planning activities during proposal development, providing study burden assessments and patient and site insights to inform strategic feasibility.

  • Develop tailored patient and site engagement, recruitment, and retention strategies that address customer needs and support successful study delivery.

  • Present recommendations, insights, and value-driven solutions during bid defenses and client-facing meetings.

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to capture, analyze, and share patient experience data that informs study planning and strategy.

  • Evaluate patient pathways and clinical trial burden to identify participation risks and recommend appropriate mitigation and support strategies.

  • Establish and strengthen relationships with patient advocacy organizations and external partners within assigned therapeutic areas.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support FDA Diversity Action Plans, UK Patient and Public Involvement initiatives, and other patient engagement projects.

  • Partner with project teams to translate patient engagement strategies into operational plans that improve patient, care partner, and site experiences.

  • Define, track, and evaluate metrics that measure the impact of patient and site support strategies on study performance and delivery outcomes.

  • What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 8+ years of transferable experience in a medical, healthcare, scientific, or related field, preferably within patient engagement, recruitment and retention, feasibility, or site and study coordination roles.

  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) principles and a broad understanding of clinical drug development across multiple therapeutic areas.

  • Proficiency in English with excellent written, verbal, and persuasive communication skills.

  • Understanding of patient and site burden risks in clinical trials and the ability to apply those insights to study planning.

  • Experience building relationships and collaborating effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strong influencing, negotiation, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate with senior stakeholders and client audiences.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability, adaptability, and a proactive approach to navigating changing priorities and new information.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote, and highly collaborative environment.

  • At Worldwide Clinical Trials, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace by providing transparent compensation.
