About the Role Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, this role provides timely and accurate pre-registrations, registrations, order management, charge capture, cash collection and related information systems support for in-patient, out-patient, emergency room, immediate care and same day surgery patients.
The position collects, analyzes and records demographic, insurance/financial and clinical data from multiple sources and obtains other information and signatures necessary for the above processes. Screens for third-party eligibility and enters medical necessity coding to ensure accurate payment. Interacts in a customer-focused manner to ensure the needs of patients and their families are met and that they understand the hospital's revenue cycle expectations, including resolution of personal liabilities through various payment options. What You'll Do
- Provide in-patient, out-patient, ER, immediate care and same day surgery pre-registrations, registrations, order management, charge capture and cash collection functions, and support medical information systems.
- Collect, analyze and record demographic, insurance/financial and clinical data from multiple sources; obtain signatures as needed.
- Screen for third-party eligibility and enter medical necessity coding to secure accurate payment.
- Interact with patients and families in a customer-focused manner to meet needs and explain revenue cycle expectations, including payment option resolution. What We're Looking For
- Education: High School diploma or GED; Associate degree in business or healthcare (preferred).
- License: Valid driver’s license required if off-site duties; maintain automobile liability coverage if using personal vehicle.
- Experience & Skills (Preferred):
- Manual dexterity to operate office machines
- 1–2 years of registration, scheduling, patient accounts, cash collections or healthcare customer service experience
- Knowledge of health insurances, medical terminology and anatomy
- Strong data entry and keyboarding skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

- Salary: $19.89 - $28.84 per hour
