About the Role
The Patient Access Representative at Endeavor Health in Addison, IL is a part-time role (20 hours per week) focused on accurate pre-registrations, registrations, order management, charge capture and cash collection for in-patient, out-patient, ER and same-day surgery patients. Under general supervision, the role collects demographic, insurance/financial and clinical data from multiple sources, screens for third-party eligibility and ensures accurate payment and revenue cycle processes while delivering patient-centered service. What You'll Do

Provide timely and accurate pre-registrations, registrations, order management, charge capture, and cash collection for in-patient, out-patient, ER, immediate care and same-day surgery patients.

Collect, analyze and record demographic, insurance/financial and clinical data from multiple sources and obtain signatures necessary for the processes.

Screen for third-party eligibility and enter medical necessity coding to help secure accurate payment.

Interact in a customer-focused manner to meet patients' and families' needs and explain the hospital's revenue cycle expectations, including resolution of personal liabilities through various payment options. What We're Looking For

Education: High School diploma or GED; Associate degree in business or healthcare preferred.

License: Valid driver's license required if off-site duties; evidence of automobile liability coverage if using personal vehicle for off-site work.

Experience & Skills (Preferred): Manual dexterity to operate office machines; 1-2 years of registration, scheduling, patient accounts, cash collections or healthcare customer service; knowledge of health insurances, medical terminology and anatomy; strong data entry and keyboarding; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; bilingual skills.
