Patent Associate Attorney Responsibilities

Draft and prosecute U.S. patent applications; analyze inventions and collaborate with inventors and clients; conduct patentability assessments and technical reviews; prepare responses to USPTO communications; manage patent matters independently while coordinating with attorneys across offices; deliver high-quality legal work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Patent Associate Attorney Requirements & Qualifications

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school; active Louisiana state bar license in good standing or ability to obtain admission as required; bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO); 3-6 years of patent law experience; significant patent drafting experience required; strong analytical, technical, writing, and communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively; willingness to work full-time in-office.
