About the Role The Commercial Practice Group of Baker McKenzie seeks a Patent Agent for its Intellectual Property Sub-practice group to join our Dallas office. The role supports patent attorneys on prosecution, counseling, and litigation, including drafting patent applications and responses to office actions, and advising on technology issues during depositions. relocation to Dallas is required for candidates located outside Dallas, as relocation assistance is not provided. What You'll Do
- Prepare responses to Office Actions and other USPTO communications
- Study invention disclosures and prepare patent specifications
- Perform prior art searches
- Draft patent applications and responses to office actions
- Assist with litigation and transactional projects
- Communicate with clients and foreign counsel; advise lawyers on technology issues in preparation for depositions
