Pastoral Manager

About the Role The Pastoral Manager at Co-op Academy North Manchester will lead the personal development and welfare of pupils within their year group, helping every child to be equipped to lead a happy and successful life. You will be a highly motivated, organized and flexible individual who can enable pupils to maintain excellent learning habits and high levels of independence and resilience.

The successful candidate will possess leadership, management and communication skills and have demonstrated the ability to work with young people and their families, with aspirations aligned to Co-op North Manchester’s pupils. You will be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people. What You'll Do

• Take the lead in transforming pupil experiences and support the year group with pastoral care and welfare.
• Work within the year-team structure: two Pastoral Managers per year group, KS Lead, form tutors; collaborate with Safeguarding Leads and attendance officer to support pupils.
• Promote safe, supportive learning environments and opportunities for pupils to develop independence and resilience; contribute to ongoing professional development and CPD.
• Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote welfare of young people within the Co-op Academies Trust framework. What We're Looking For
• Strong leadership, management and communication skills; ability to work with young people and their families; awareness of challenges facing young people; aspirational for pupils.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of young people; willingness to contribute to and participate in CPD.
• Alignment with Co-op Academies Trust values and role expectations. Nice to Have
• Experience in pastoral care, safeguarding, mentoring; experience delivering CPD; experience in education environment; ability to contribute to school development and safeguarding. Compensation & Benefits
• Salary: £37,280 - £40,777 (FTE) per year; actual salary range £35,237.16 - £38,543.48; Co-op benefits package and CPD opportunities; part of Co-op Academies Trust; safeguarding responsibilities.
