About the Role The Part-Time Party Planner will deliver premier party experiences for American Girl in Franklin, working one-on-one with guests to create a magical event that aligns with AG standards. This role involves coordinating with the party team and Bistro to ensure a high-quality, smooth experience from start to finish.

What You'll Do

• Deliver all aspects of party execution, including pre-event communications, ambiance creation, greeting and seating guests, taking and delivering beverage and food orders, upselling, and servicing the party throughout the event
• Prepare desserts, handle to-go transactions, deliver and process checks, bus and reset tables, daily cleanup, and restock supplies
• Meet sales goals and budget guidelines; work with external vendors and place product orders in a timely manner
• Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve service issues graciously
• Execute events to AG standards (games, crafts, hair styling and skin care of dolls) and maintain ongoing party communications with staff and management
• Follow local/state health sanitation laws and food safety guidelines
• Assign and complete daily tasks for front-of-house and back-of-house areas; maintain knowledge of the InfoGenesis system for transactions
• Train, assist, and support teammates and other areas of the restaurant when needed

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; undergraduate education preferred
• Minimum 6 months’ experience in customer relations, parties, or events
• 1–2 years’ experience in high-volume, fine-casual dining or related restaurant preferred
• Experience working with children and ServeSafe certification preferred
• Strong verbal and communication skills; comfortable public speaking; warm, friendly demeanor
• Ability to perform diverse physical tasks (heavy lifting 30–50 lbs, carrying full trays, standing/walking for long periods)
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Nice to Have

• Experience in event planning and coordination
• Familiarity with working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Prior experience in customer service roles within retail or themed entertainment settings

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: USD $16.00 - $18.75 hourly
