Job title: Parts Representative
About the Role The parts representative ensures customers receive the support and customer service needed in the parts and warehouse departments. The role requires attention to detail, courteous and professional service, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced team with vendors, co-workers, and customers. The role also champions safety, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
- Oversee the front counter parts retail desk: order acceptance and entry, will calls and distribution.
- Process emergency part orders promptly and manage inventory-related activities.
- Assist with inventory management (ordering, shipment, backorder monitoring) and maintain showroom displays.
- Identify long lead-time parts and source through alternate suppliers within price guidelines; manage and invoice ship direct orders.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all part orders and history; submit warranty/return claims timely for credit.
- Communicate with management on parts availability issues and verify pricing per policy.
- Track outstanding orders/shipments daily; perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- High School diploma or GED preferred; 2-4 years of related experience (construction, warehouse, automotive) preferred.
- Valid California driver’s license.
- Proficient with standard computer systems (Quipware, Microsoft Office).
- Knowledge of warehouse inventory systems, shipping methods, material handling equipment.
- Problem solving and troubleshooting skills; able to obtain in-house forklift certification.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; bilingual in Spanish a plus.
