Job title: Parts Person - 2nd Shift

About the Role The Parts Person reports to the Mechanical Services Manager and supports maintenance activities for paper machine components. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with the proper and safe use of hand tools, power tools, torches and other tools of the trade. The position emphasizes assembly/disassembly of rolls and bearings, reading mechanical prints, and performing related maintenance tasks.

What You'll Do

• Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and safely use hand tools, power tools, torches, and other tools of the trade.
• Disassemble and assemble paper machine rolls with accuracy.
• Properly dismount, care for, and mount bearings found in the trade.
• Read and interpret standard mechanical prints, symbols, units of measure, and abbreviations.
• Perform maintenance, housekeeping, painting and other miscellaneous tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Be willing and able to perform all tasks with or without supervision.

• Experience: On-the-job training provided; other combinations of experience/education may substitute.
