Parts Loader / Unloader – Steel Fabrication
Location: Ashland, VA Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Pay Rate: Starting at $20/hour; higher pay may be available depending on experience.
Position Overview
We are hiring a Parts Loader / Unloader to support daily production at a steel fabrication facility. This role focuses on handling raw steel materials and finished components used in laser cutting operations.
Responsibilities

Load steel sheets and plates onto laser cutting tables and unload completed parts.

Assist laser operators with moving materials, staging jobs, and organizing cut components.

Sort and move parts based on job orders and production requirements.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Qualifications

Manufacturing or steel fabrication experience preferred.

Ability to handle heavy materials and perform physical work throughout the shift.

Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to follow instructions.

Experience operating material-handling equipment is a plus.
