Job title: Parts Development Interior & Exterior System Assistant Manager
About the Role The Parts Development Interior & Exterior System Assistant Manager will lead purchasing for Direct Materials and MRO at Hyundai Motor Group MetaPlant America, LLC, driving supplier negotiations, commodity development and supply chain strategies to optimize cost, quality and delivery for EV programs.
What You'll Do
- Manage all purchasing activities (S/R Review with ENG, RFQ Release, Quotation Analysis, Recommendation) for Direct Materials and MRO, focusing on cost, quality, and service
- Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers and mitigate commercial risk
- Drive commodity development, sourcing/negotiations, budget management (saving/material cost), and interface with suppliers and internal counterparts
- Establish and strengthen supplier relationships for better alignment
- Manage commodity development, quality and parts procurement from local and import parts
- Drive continuous improvements to purchasing processes
- Work with critical suppliers to develop a short-term Build and Ship plan supporting production and a long-term supply plan for critical components
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business, Administration, or related areas
- Certification: CPM or CPSM designation preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in parts development and procurement (Seat Assembly / Instrument Panel, Exterior (Glass/Wiper), HVAC System)
- Experience developing contracts/agreements
- Project Execution Skills/Knowledge: MS Word / Excel / PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical and organizational skills
- Desire to continually improve processes and apply best practices
- Ability to respond to inquiries from team members, leadership, and outside vendors
- Ability to work with different cultures to deliver results
- Proven ability to innovate to meet business needs and to advance culture
- Strong business acumen, decision making, and organizational skills
