About the Role Taft Stettinius & Hollister is seeking a partner or counsel to join its Energy group in multiple offices nationwide. The role requires a portable book of business and partnership-level experience, focusing on FERC regulatory, RTO, and transactional matters within the energy sector. Experience with MISO, PJM, and/or SPP is preferred; lobbying experience will also be considered but is not the primary focus. What You'll Do
- Lead and advise on FERC regulatory matters, Regional Transmission Organization issues (RTOs), and transactional energy work.
- Develop and manage client relationships, bringing a portable book of business to Taft.
- Collaborate with the Energy practice group across Washington, D.C., Minneapolis, Indianapolis, Chicago, Cincinnati, Columbus, Cleveland, Denver, and Colorado Springs to serve clients on energy regulation, compliance, and project development. What We're Looking For
- Team-oriented partner or counsel with a portable book of business.
- Strong experience in FERC regulatory, RTO matters, and transactional energy work.
- Experience with MISO, PJM, and/or SPP preferred.
- While lobbying experience is welcome, it is not the primary focus. Nice to Have
- Lobbying experience is a plus.
