About the Role Rutgers University Correctional Health Care is seeking a Part Time Staff Nurse for the Northern State Prison located in Newark, NJ. The Staff Nurse utilizes the nursing process to meet a variety of health care needs with ambulatory care as a primary focus for inmates in the New Jersey Department of Corrections. What You'll Do
- Provide direct and indirect nursing care to inmates in a correctional environment, with ambulatory care as a primary focus.
- Collaborate with health care professionals and security officers to coordinate care and ensure safety and compliance.
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in patient records; participate in the care planning process. What We're Looking For
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey.
- Experience in ambulatory care and/or correctional settings preferred.
- Ability to work in a secure environment and handle confidential information. Nice to Have
- Additional certifications related to correctional health care or nursing. Compensation & Benefits
