About the Role The Staff Nurse provides direct and indirect nursing care in a correctional setting, focusing on ambulatory care for inmates in the New Jersey Department of Corrections. This part-time position supports a multidisciplinary team and works closely with health care professionals and security staff to meet a variety of health care needs.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct and indirect nursing care using the nursing process.
- Focus on ambulatory care for inmate patients and coordinate with other health care professionals and security officers in a correctional environment.
- Document patient assessments, care plans, and outcomes; monitor patient status and participate in care coordination.
What We're Looking For
- Current RN license in New Jersey.
- Experience in ambulatory care and/or correctional health care preferred.
- Ability to work in a secure, multi-disciplinary setting and collaborate with security personnel.
