Part-Time Primary School Music Teacher
We are seeking a Part-Time Primary School Music Teacher to teach musical instruments, build students' understanding of music theory and notation, and prepare them for performances while maintaining strong communication with staff and parents.
Responsibilities
- Understand curriculum requirements and create syllabi, lesson plans, and educational content.
- Teach musical instruments such as piano, guitar, and violin.
- Help students understand and read music notes and scales.
- Train students for events, musical performances, and concerts.
- Analyse students' needs, strengths, and weaknesses; structure lessons and assessments accordingly.
- Adjust teaching methods to suit different groups of learners.
- Report progress issues to the head of department and parents.
- Maintain open communication between students, staff, and parents.
Requirements
- Degree in Music or related field.
- Relevant music teaching certifications may be required.
- Strong instrumental skills and knowledge of music theory.
- Patience, innovation, and effective classroom management skills.
- Completed teaching apprenticeship an advantage.
- Familiarity with interactive teaching tools and 21st-century teaching methods; TRCN Certification an added advantage.
Compensation
- ₦100,000 – ₦150,000 Monthly
