About the Role Join Mathnasium of Bethesda as a part-time Math Instructor/Tutor. You will deliver mathematics instruction using the Mathnasium Method to help students understand, master, and love math, while providing friendly, student-centered service. What You'll Do
- Deliver mathematical instruction to students using the Mathnasium Method
- Create a fun, engaging learning environment
- Build students' confidence and self-esteem
- Collaborate in a team teaching environment to address student needs
- Document student progress and interactions
- Provide exceptional customer service to families What We're Looking For
- Passion for math and ability to demonstrate math proficiency through Algebra I (with higher-level math such as Geometry, Algebra II, Trigonometry, Pre-calculus preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal skills; engaging with students and inspiring them to excel
- Availability afternoons/evenings and weekends
- Complete ~20 hours of training
- Pass background check
- Provide work authorization Nice to Have
- Demonstrated ability to do higher-level math (Geometry, Algebra II, Trigonometry, Pre-calculus) Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $17-$18 per hour
