About the Role Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Part Time Licensed Practical Nurse for Northern State Prison in Newark, NJ. The LPN will provide total patient care in accordance with professional nursing standards, delivering individualized care to assigned inmates and families. Responsibilities are performed under direction and supervision of the medical leadership to support a safe, therapeutic environment. What You'll Do
- Skillfully administer total patient care based on the individualized needs of assigned patients and families in a correctional healthcare setting.
- Work under the direction of physicians and healthcare leadership to implement and document nursing care plans.
- Monitor patient status, administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and respond to medical emergencies.
- Maintain accurate records, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. What We're Looking For
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Jersey.
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to work effectively within a correctional healthcare setting.
