We are seeking a highly skilled, approachable, and responsive board-certified Maternal-Fetal Medicine Physician to join our team as a Part-Time Independent Contractor. In this role, you will leverage Access TeleCare’s advanced telemedicine platform to deliver world-class subspecialty care. You will build strong professional rapport and connections with local sonographers and community OB/GYN providers, making virtual clinical interactions meaningful, efficient, and highly collaborative.
Key Responsibilities
- Inpatient & Outpatient Consultations: Provide expert remote consultations for high-risk pregnancies, including maternal comorbidities (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, obesity), fetal growth restriction, congenital abnormalities, and other complex maternal-fetal conditions. MFM’s will work a combination of inpatient and outpatient, at least 10 shifts a month of Mon-Fri AM shifts.
- Remote Ultrasound Interpretation: Perform timely and accurate remote interpretations for a comprehensive range of obstetrical ultrasounds, including:
- Viability/dating ultrasounds and first-trimester anatomical surveys
- Nuchal translucency measurements
- Basic and detailed anatomical surveys
- Fetal echocardiograms and fetal growth ultrasounds
- Cervical length surveillance and biophysical profiles
- Umbilical artery and middle cerebral artery Dopplers
- Twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome surveillance
- Clinical Collaboration & Sonographer Mentorship: Partner closely with community-based sonographers to elevate and advance their competency, imaging quality, and professional skills. Maintain ongoing quality control and support continuing medical education (CME) initiatives.
- Care Coordination: Facilitate safe, local monitoring of complex pregnancies near term, ensuring a seamless handoff of care to local pediatricians or receiving MFM providers at tertiary care centers when necessary.
Position Requirements:

Education & Board Certification: Medical Degree (MD/DO) with Board Certification in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Experience: Active clinical practice in MFM. Prior experience in telemedicine is highly valued (Access TeleCare’s program is led by industry veterans with over 5 years of MFM telemedicine experience).

Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and professional rapport with remote clinical teams, sonographers, and patients.

Licensure: TX license preferred. Must hold or be willing to obtain active medical licensure in target states of practice, along with necessary board eligibility/certifications.
