Part-Time Faculty | Undergraduate Architecture Design Studio (Fall 2026 and/or Spring 2027)
About the Role Part-time instructors needed to teach undergraduate architecture design studio for Fall 2026 and/or Spring 2027. The position is on-campus with a 6-credit load per semester and requires regular in-person presence to support students and collaborate with colleagues.
What You'll Do
- Developing and/or updating a class syllabus.
- Ordering the appropriate books and materials in advance of the class start date.
- Preparation of lectures, projects or other student assignments.
- Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours.
- Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course.
- Meeting all designated class periods.
- Submitting completed mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations.
- Grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner.
- Providing departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations.
What We're Looking For
- A professional degree in Architecture is required, as well as an advanced degree in Architecture or a closely related design field.
- Teaching experience in an accredited professional architecture degree program.
- Candidates with strong intellectual and creative direction are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates must possess professional design experience and demonstrate a record of recognized creative work which may include built/unbuilt work, installations or publications.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $21,000 - $25,000 per course. Faculty pay ranges are for 8.5 months’ salary unless otherwise specified.
- Salary offers are based on education, experience, and relevant skills, as well as the academic or professional discipline of the position and of the home department; may be influenced by prior work/industry experience.
- Remote work arrangements are limited in accordance with University policy.
