About this role
Part-Time Faculty is sought to teach MFT 686 Play Therapy with Children and Families (3 credits) for Summer 2026. The course is conducted in person (Mon/Wed 9:00 AM–12:45 PM) from May 11 to August 14, 2026, and covers assessment and treatment of children and families through play therapy, including work with crisis situations. The instructor will prepare and deliver lectures, update the syllabus, and evaluate student performance.
What You'll Do
- Develop and/or update the course syllabus
- Prepare lectures, projects or other student assignments
- Maintain regularly scheduled office hours
- Present instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course
- Meet all designated class periods
- Submit completed mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations
- Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner
- Provide departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations
- Build a positive rapport with students and other faculty
What We're Looking For
- MA or PhD, and previous teaching experience
- LMFT or equivalent
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $1,440 per credit hour; for a 3-credit course, total pay is $4,320. All course offerings are subject to funding availability and enrollment.
