Job title: Part-Time Faculty: MFT 643 Family Therapy with Complex Trauma (Summer 2026)
About the Role This is a part-time teaching assignment for Summer 2026 to deliver MFT 643: Family Therapy with Complex Trauma. The course examines how trauma affects child development and family functioning and introduces systemic family therapy approaches for treatment. The instructor will design syllabi, deliver lectures, and assess student work in a collaborative on-campus setting.
What You'll Do
- Develop and/or update the course syllabus and related materials
- Prepare lectures, projects, and other assignments
- Maintain regularly scheduled office hours
- Deliver instruction aligned with course competencies and performance levels
- Attend all designated class periods (Saturdays: May 16, 30; June 6, 13, 20; 08:30 AM – 05:00 PM)
- Submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades following University regulations
- Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner
- Provide departmentally sanctioned forms for student evaluations
- Build a positive rapport with students and other faculty
What We're Looking For
- MA or PhD, and relevant teaching experience
- LMFT or equivalent
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $1,440 per credit hour (part-time)
- On-campus commitment with limited remote work in accordance with University policy
