About the Role The Part-Time Deputy Sheriff (Courthouse) assists the Sheriff's Office in maintaining safety and order within the courthouse. This role supports court operations and provides a professional, responsive public safety presence during assigned shifts. What You'll Do
- Provide courthouse security, access control, and visitor screening.
- Respond to incidents, enforce court rules, and coordinate with court staff as needed.
- Assist with civil processes and support law enforcement activities within the courthouse. What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks.
- Strong communication, judgment, and the ability to work flexible hours, including non-standard shifts. Nice to Have
- Prior law enforcement, security, or courtroom security experience (preferred but not required). Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly salary: $20.81 per hour (minimum). Benefits are not specified in the posting.
