About the Family & The Search Wellthy is currently supporting a friendly, welcoming family based in Earley in their search for a reliable and caring after-school nanny or babysitter to look after their two children, starting in January 2027. Their daughter will be in Year 2, and their youngest son will be starting in the school's nursery. The family also has a large, friendly Labrador, so being a dog lover is a must! (Please note, one parent occasionally works from home).

The Role Your primary responsibility will be safely collecting both children from school and keeping them engaged and happy at the family's home until the parents finish work.

• 3:00 PM Start: Arrive at the family home to prepare and walk the short distance (under 10 mins) to Radstock Primary School for a 3:20 PM pick-up.
• Safely walk the children back to the family home.
• Supervise afternoon activities and help with early homework.
• Provide a light snack / light tea for the children (the family has dinner together later).
• Ensure the children and the family's Labrador are happy and settled until 6:00 PM.

Key Requirements & Vetting

• Must be completely comfortable around large dogs.
• Previous experience caring for toddlers and early-primary-aged children.
• Punctual and highly reliable, as you will be managing the daily school run.
• Paediatric First Aid training is highly preferred.
• Vetting Process: Please note that as part of the recruitment process, Wellthy will conduct a comprehensive background check (including an Enhanced DBS check) and formally verify your references on behalf of the family before any offer is finalized.

Schedule and Compensation

• Days: Flexible! The family is looking for 2 to 4 days a week (ideally excluding Tuesdays).
• Hours: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
• Holidays: Potential for additional ad-hoc hours during school holidays if the candidate desires (not mandatory).
• Start Date: January 2027
• Pay: Up to £25 per hour, depending on experience, with guaranteed weekly hours.
• Contract: While Wellthy is managing the recruitment and vetting process, this is a private hire and employment will be directly with the family.
