About the Role Logan Health EMS Paramedics deliver advanced life support (ALS) in pre-hospital 911 responses and inter-facility transports, supporting patient safety, operational excellence, and compassionate care in fast-paced environments.
What You'll Do
- Provide ALS patient care in pre-hospital 911 response and inter-facility transport settings.
- Complete accurate and timely patient documentation, care reports, and related records.
- Demonstrate competency with EMS computer systems and assist with data collection and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and department protocols.
- Demonstrate knowledge and safe operation of ambulances, communication systems, patient care equipment, and extraction equipment.
- Provide direction and support to stakeholders, public safety personnel, and emergency response teams as appropriate.
- Perform ALS assessments and interventions for patients requiring advanced care and transport.
- Monitor equipment functionality, restock supplies, maintain vehicle cleanliness and readiness.
- Apply policies and procedures related to patient care, safety, and departmental operations; perform applicable Emergency Room Technician duties as assigned (sterile technique, wound care, dressing changes, medication administration within scope, diagnostic exams, CPR, EKGs, vital signs).
- Coordinate with incident command on scene and assist with patient care and coordination.
- Prepare patient rooms and related equipment; assist with transport to designated rooms/areas.
What We're Looking For
- Current Montana Paramedic licensure.
- NRP certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a driving record clear of specified past issues for 36 months.
- RQI Provider (BLS) certification within 7 days of hire/transfer or prior to independent patient care.
- ACLS and PALS certifications within six months of hire/transfer.
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence, integrity, kindness, professionalism, and empathy.
- Excellent organizational and critical-thinking skills with ability to prioritize and work independently and with others.
- Strong teamwork, confidentiality, and communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office; ability to learn EMS software as needed.
