Job title: Paralegal - Workers' Compensation
About the Role Rawle & Henderson LLP seeks a Paralegal with at least one year of workers' compensation defense experience to join the Workers’ Compensation Department in our Philadelphia office. The role involves assisting attorneys with evidence gathering, reviewing case developments, preparing legal documents for attorney approval and use, maintaining databases and case calendars, and coordinating pleadings, discovery, medical records, subpoenas, and investigative reports.
What You'll Do
- Compile evidence and supporting information for cases
- Review and respond to case developments as they arise
- Prepare and format legal documents for attorney review and use
- Maintain case calendars, files, and related documents in the database
- Organize pleadings, discovery materials, medical and vocational records, subpoenas, and investigative reports
- Schedule depositions of experts and witnesses
- Draft and serve subpoenas
- Work closely with attorneys to resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Demonstrate high attention to detail, dependability, and a desire to learn
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate
- Minimum of one year of insurance defense and WCIAS experience; workers’ compensation defense experience preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage calendars, deadlines, and multiple tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication
