About the Role An established employment litigation firm in Emeryville is seeking a Paralegal to join its team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role supports attorneys through all phases of employment litigation and requires strong organizational skills. The position is fully onsite for the first 90 days to support training, collaboration, and integration with the team, with the potential to transition to a hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote upon successful conversion. What You'll Do
- Support attorneys in employment litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Draft, revise, and organize pleadings, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents
- Manage document collection, review, and production processes
- Prepare deposition, mediation, arbitration, and trial materials
- Track case deadlines, court dates, and litigation calendars
- Conduct legal research and factual investigations
- Maintain and organize case files and litigation databases
- Coordinate state and federal court filings
- Assist with trial preparation, exhibits, and witness materials What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of litigation paralegal experience; employment litigation experience preferred
- Experience supporting matters in California state and federal courts
- Strong knowledge of discovery, document management, and trial preparation
- Excellent organizational and deadline-management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $35 - $50 per hour
