Paralegal

We are looking for a detail-oriented Paralegal to join a legal team in Miami, Florida on a Contract basis for an initial 60-day assignment, with the possibility of extension. This role supports active insurance defense matters and requires strong hands-on experience with litigation support, document management, and case preparation. The position is based on-site in Miami, Florida, and is best suited for someone who can work effectively in a fast-paced office environment.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain case files to ensure documents, correspondence, and supporting materials are accurate and readily accessible.

• Assist attorneys with discovery by preparing responses, reviewing incoming materials, and tracking deadlines across active matters.

• Create clear medical chronologies and case summaries to support defense strategy in personal injury and related claims.

• Request, track, and follow up on subpoenas and medical or other relevant records needed for litigation.

• Support day-to-day litigation activities by preparing case materials for hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.

• Coordinate with internal team members, clients, records custodians, and outside parties to keep case activity moving forward.

• Monitor multiple assignments simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, organization, and compliance with procedural requirements.

• At least 3 years of paralegal experience, preferably within litigation-focused legal environments.

• Prior experience supporting insurance defense matters is required.

• Demonstrated knowledge of discovery processes, case file management, and subpoena coordination.

• Experience preparing medical chronologies, summaries, and other case-support documentation.

• Familiarity with personal injury matters and related legal documentation.

• Ability to work on-site in Miami, Florida on a daily basis.

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
