About the Role Join Segal McCambridge's General Liability team in Los Angeles as an experienced paralegal. This hands-on role supports seasoned attorneys across the full lifecycle of complex civil litigation and offers mentorship, collaboration, and growth within a national defense firm. The position is in-office with some hybrid flexibility.
What You'll Do
- Support attorneys through all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, mediations/arbitrations, and trial preparation.
- Draft and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, discovery responses, subpoenas, and trial exhibits.
- Manage case files, calendars, deadlines, and document production using litigation support systems.
- Coordinate with clients, experts, vendors, and opposing counsel as directed.
- Assist with deposition and trial preparation, including exhibit organization and summaries.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with court rules and filing requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 2 years of experience supporting the defense of complex civil litigation matters.
- Strong organizational, proofreading, and document management skills.
- Familiarity with California court procedures and e-filing systems.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, detail-oriented, and team-focused approach to work.
