Painter

About the Role Volt is immediately hiring for Painter in South Gate, CA. This is a full-time, 1st shift opportunity in a climate-controlled environment. You will prepare surfaces, apply coatings, inspect finished parts, and help keep painting booths and equipment in top condition, all while meeting production deadlines. What You'll Do

• Work in a safe manner, adhering to all safety policies and procedures, and ensuring those nearby are working safely
• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed
• Apply primers, paints, and coatings using spray, brush, or dip techniques
• Inspect painted parts to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
• Maintain and clean painting booths, equipment, and work areas
• Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines
• Document work processes and maintain accurate production records
• This is a full-time opportunity on the 1st shift What We're Looking For
• Previous experience in industrial painting (aerospace industry preferred)
• Knowledge of painting techniques and materials
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to perform basic math operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals)
• Basic computer skills Nice to Have
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds
• Frequently working near heavy machinery or equipment
• Ability to meet the demands of a manufacturing environment Compensation & Benefits
• Pay: $19.00 – $25.00 per hour
