Location: Ashland, VA Job Type:: Contract Shift: 2nd Shift Pay: Starts at $24.00/hr, higher rates available based on experience
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Painter to prepare and paint overhead cranes and manufactured components using a variety of industrial coating systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial painting processes, airless spray systems, and working safely in a heavy industrial environment.
Responsibilities

Prepare work areas prior to painting operations.

Prepare components for painting, including blowing off surfaces, taping, and masking.

Apply industrial coatings using airless spray systems.

Work with industrial paint systems including:

Enamel
-
Zinc
-
Epoxy
-
Urethane
-
Measure coating thickness using dry and wet film gauges.

Maintain quality standards and safe work practices.

Report to work on time and maintain reliable attendance.

Work 10-hour shifts and Saturdays as required.

Lift up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications

Experience with airless spray painting systems required.

Knowledge of industrial coating systems required.

Experience using dry and wet film paint gauges.

Ability to work safely in a heavy industrial environment.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
Employment Details

Potential temp-to-hire opportunity after 90 days.

$1.00/hour shift differential available upon becoming a full-time employee.
